Our popular cargo bike, “Short John Unisex Cargo Bike,” has a total load capacity of 100 kg. This electric cargo bike with a mid-drive motor is therefore ideal for transporting heavy equipment and can be used by everyone, from craftsmen who drop off their apprentices in the city with the toolbox to photographers with heavy photo equipment and, of course, small shopkeepers, kiosks, restaurants, and pizzerias that offer delivery of goods.

This stylish, classic cargo bike has a quiet and powerful mid-drive motor, the battery of which is elegantly hidden in our exclusive leather bag. We call it ELECHIC. The e-bike is designed for modern everyday use in the city. Since the motor does not have a gearbox, there is absolutely no pedal resistance when the battery is switched off, so you can still use your bike as a normal bike if you run out of power. All accessories are included in this top model, focusing on the small details, high quality, and aesthetics. We have fitted puncture-protected semi-balloon tires with integrated reflectors from the German manufacturer Schwalbe. The ELECHIC Short John cargo bike with electric motor is equipped with a maintenance-free Shimano Nexus 7-speed internal gear hub with built-in freewheel and roller brake (2 hand brakes on the handlebars), as our e-bikes are not compatible with coaster brakes. The e-bike also has a built-in maintenance-free drum brake in the front wheel, so you have maintenance-free built-in quality brakes on both wheels.

The front and rear lights are designed in pure retro style with LED technology and a maintenance-free dynamo as the power source. They feature integrated parking lights, so your bike remains illuminated even when stationary. Power for the LED front and rear lights is generated through induction inside the front hub dynamo, meaning the electricity is completely free of charge. Remember – always ride with your lights on for your own safety.

An excellent little brass bell signals to your surroundings that here comes the majesty of the cycle path. Of course, an insurance-approved frame lock from Velorbis (YWS) is also included.

The e-bike has a complete leather package, including leather grips, a handmade, iconic leather comfort saddle from Velorbis that just gets better and better with time, and a matching leather mudflap. Our warranty certificate is wrapped in an excellent leather book, so you can easily store your frame and key numbers safely. ELECHIC e-bike comes with our powerful Velorbis 50 Nm eDrive mid-motor system, which makes the e-bike a reliable and powerful electric bike. Velorbis eDrive comes as standard with a 36V Li-ion battery in a beautiful, exclusive integrated leather bag and has a capacity of 500 Wh or 14.6 AH (distance up to 75 km on a charge under optimal conditions, can be extended up to 150km with an additional battery).
