Velorbis eDrive electric system, Mid-drive motor with 500-1000 Wh battery(ies)

Velorbis eDrive is an e-bike conversion kit that, when retrofitted, transforms your regular bike into a reliable and powerful electric bike. The Velorbis eDrive system fits all Velorbis models and almost all other bicycle brands, regardless of whether it’s a city bike, trekking bike, road bike or mountain bike, as long as there is enough space for the battery and motor on the frame. It can be mounted independently of the wheel size and gear system of the bike. Our eDrive is only compatible with freewheel hubs and therefore does not fit hubs with coaster brakes. If your bike has a coaster brake, we can convert the wheel to a freewheel. Velorbis eDrive supports both belt and chain drives. This must be on the right side of the bike. Velorbis eDrive is ideal for distances of 40-150 km thanks to our enormously powerful battery solutions (choose between 500 Wh / 14.6 Ah and 1000 Wh / 29.2 Ah).

The complete system (motor + battery) weighs only 4.9 kg (with 500 Wh battery). The gearless 250W motor in brushed steel is mounted centrally under the bottom bracket. Due to its construction and placement on the bike, the motor provides a particularly natural riding experience and is absolutely silent. With an output of 250 watts and a maximum torque of 50 Nm, it supports your pedaling power up to a speed of 25 km/h (legally permitted maximum speed for EU countries). Higher speeds can be achieved by using pure muscle power. Since the motor does not have a gearbox, there is no noticeable pedal resistance when the battery is off, so you can still use your e-bike like a normal bike.

The Li-ion battery is specially shaped to fit into our specially developed exclusive battery bag made of genuine leather, which matches the other leather components on the e-bike. The Velorbis battery is 36V and has a capacity of 500 Wh or 14.6 Ah (range up to 75 km on a single charge) and is based on modern lithium-ion technology. The battery can be locked on the bike with the included combination wire lock for quick shopping, but can also be easily removed and charged. Please note that the battery can also be charged while it is on the bike. The battery charges from 0-100% within 3.5 hours with the included 3 AH charger. If you want to double the range, you can buy our series-connected 1000 Wh batteries, which are mounted on both sides of the luggage carrier. This increases the range (under optimal conditions) to an incredible 150+ km on a single charge. On men’s bikes, the battery bag can be mounted on the frame or on the side of the luggage carrier. If you want 2 x 500 Wh batteries, they must be mounted on the luggage carrier.
