Payments
At Velorbis, you can use the following payment methods:
VISA
MasterCard
Bank transfer (only companies – with bank transfer, the objection scheme does not protect you)
We do not charge card fees.
Reservation of amounts on payment cards:
The amount is reserved immediately if you pay with an international payment card. The money is reserved on your card or account until:
1) we raise the amount when we send the item (except for custom-made bicycles, see below), or
2) until the money is released according to the agreement with your card issuer.
You can read more about the rules for your specific card on your card issuer’s website.
For custom-made bicycle orders, the payment is charged at the time of ordering. A custom-made bicycle has a standard delivery time of 6-10 weeks, and we produce it just for you in your special colour(s), size, and component composition.
Dispatch & Delivery times
Non-custom bicycles: Our stock of bicycles is stored at a remote warehouse in Denmark, and we typically dispatch within 2–5 business days. You also need to add transit time to your overall delivery time. Our courier DSV usually delivers within Europe within 5-8 working days. We only keep a limited number of bikes in stock, so if you’re unsure, you can always check the availability on the product page where you placed your order. If you’ve designed your bike or changed a stock model using our online bike configurator, the delivery times for custom-made bicycles below will apply.
Custom-made bicycles: Your specially designed Velorbis bike is made to order in Germany. The production lead time for custom-made bicycle orders is 6–10 weeks, depending on the season. We also offer “express delivery” on (e-)bikes with a guaranteed production lead time of 4 weeks. You also need to add transit time to the total delivery time. Our courier, DSV, delivers in Europe within 5-8 working days.
Suppose you have ordered an (e-)bike with the “express delivery” option, and we do not dispatch your order within a maximum of 4 weeks. In that case, you are entitled to a refund of the difference between the price of “standard delivery” (6–10 weeks) and “express delivery” for your region.
Let me know if you’d like a version tailored for your webshop or documentation.
Right of cancellation
Here we distinguish between stock bicycles and custom-made bicycles (non-stock bicycles). The following applies to stock bicycles only: You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop with us via the website. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you receive your item. If you have ordered several different items in the same purchase, but they are delivered individually, the deadline runs from the day you receive the last item.
The deadline means you have 14 days from receipt to notify us of your intent to cancel your purchase. You can send an email to [email protected] or use the standard cancellation form, which you will find at the bottom of the trading conditions. You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the item without notifying us at the same time.
If you have ordered a custom-made bicycle (made to order), it is a bike we produce just for you in your special colour (s), size, and component composition. When buying custom-made bicycles, there is, therefore, a full advance payment and no right of cancellation once the order is placed.
Please note that you will not receive a refund for shipping costs if you regret part of your purchase.
Return
Once you notify us of your intent to cancel your purchase, you have 14 days to return the item to us. You must pay for the package’s return yourself, and you are liable for any damage that occurs during transport.
The condition of the item when you send it back. If the item has lost value because you used it in a way that was not necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, or functioning, you can only recover a portion of the purchase price. The amount you can get back depends on the item’s commercial value, and in some cases, you may only get back the shipping costs.
We recommend that you send the item back in the original packaging. If the original packaging is missing, the item’s value may decrease.
No right of cancellation
These purchases cannot be cancelled:
• Custom-made bicycles (made to order) – Bikes that are built using our bicycle configurator, according to your specifications or have been given a distinct personal touch
Refund of the purchase amount
If you regret your purchase, you will receive a refund. If the item is impaired, we deduct the amount you are liable for.
We will refund all payments received from you, but not delivery costs (this does not apply, however, to extra delivery costs in cases where you have chosen a different form of delivery than the cheapest form of standard delivery that we offer), no later than 14 days from the day on which we have received your message that you want to cancel the agreement. We will return the money to the same payment method you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise.
We can withhold payment until we receive confirmation that you have returned the item, unless you send us the return documentation.
The item is sent to:

Note about our colour choices
The powder colours you can choose when designing your bike may differ somewhat between the computer screen/printer and the bike’s actual colour. We, therefore, encourage everyone who does not choose a standard black or white bike to visit our showroom in Frederiksberg or one of our service workshops. If, as expected, you cannot see the colour selection at our service workshops, you must contact Velorbis. You are responsible for ensuring that the colour code is the correct one you want.
